The reasons our donors make gifts to The Foundation for Firelands are as diverse as the donors themselves. They honor loved ones or friends, recognize the accomplishments of their parents, pay tribute to the care provided by our medical staff, or leave a legacy of quality healthcare for future generations.
Many of our donors make a gift to The Foundation as a means of securing their own financial future through a planned gift. Others support a specific service or program of particular interest to them. A gift to support Firelands Regional Medical Center is a gift to the community, improving the health of our children, our workforce and our neighborhoods.

The Foundation for Firelands Healthcare Heroes program allows you to recognize that special nurse, housekeeper or registrar - or any other employee who has provided you or your loved one with outstanding care. You can designate where your gift is used, or you can give to the area of greatest need. When your gift is made, your hero will be notified (we never reveal the amount) and be given a pin to wear and identify him or her as a "Healthcare Hero." After an employee has been honored more than ten times, he or she will receive a gold pin, as proof of their continued commitment to excellent patient care.
Some of the most emotional moments of our lives have occurred in the hospital, such as celebrating births or helping loved ones recover from illness and injury. A Healthcare Heroes gift gives back by providing assistance for another family.
Our Memorial Gift program commemorates the lives of loved ones and friends. The Foundation will send a card to the person or family you designate, notifying them of your thoughtful contribution.
Our Tribute Gift program allows you to recognize a special occasion in someone's life, such as a birthday, anniversary or retirement with a gift in their honor to Firelands Regional Medical Center. The Foundation will send a card to the person you designate, acknowledging your thoughtful gift in tribute to their accomplishment.
