2014-2015 Scholarship Applications Available Now

Scholarship Applications for the 2014-2015 academic year are now available for the scholarship programs listed below.   These scholarships will be disbursed in August, 2014.  Applications are available from the wall displays outside the offices of Mary Daniel and Sandra Timple or from the Financial Aid Office.

  • Dr. & Mrs. Kyung H. Kim Memorial Scholarship
All students currently enrolled in the nursing courses are eligible to apply.  Scholarship recipients will be selected in May and the funds will be disbursed in August, 2014.  Completed applications must be submitted prior to May 1, 2014 to be considered for this scholarship.

  • American Legion 40 et 8 Scholarship
All currently enrolled students are eligible to apply.  You do not have to be a veteran or related to a veteran to apply.  Scholarship recipients will be notified in August, 2014.   Completed applications must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office prior to June 1, 2014 to be considered for this scholarship.

2014-2015 FAFSA Available Online After Jan. 1, 2014
If you wish to receive financial aid for the 2014-2015 academic year, you must complete the FAFSA online.  You can complete the application any time after Jan. 1, 2014, but we recommend you wait until after your 2013 taxes have been completed so you can take advantage of the IRS tax Retrieval Tool that will automatically fill in your income information. Since the 2014 summer semester is part of the 2014-2015 award year, try to complete your FAFSA before March 1 so your financial aid will be available in May at the start of the semester. Note: You must complete the FAFSA each year to continue to receive any federal student aid funds including grants and student loans.

Our school code is 003114.

1098 T Tax Statements  will be mailed by January 31, 2014
The 1098-T statement contains information about your enrollment, scholarships and tuition charges for 2013.  The Registrar/Bursar will distribute these forms prior to January 31, 2014.   You or your parents can use the information on the 1098 T form to determine if you qualify for the higher education deductions or credits when preparing your 2013 tax return.  So, be sure to save this information, or give it to the person who claims you on their tax return (if you don't claim yourself). Click here for more information about the education tax credits or tax deductions that are available.
