Surgical Services: Main Campus

The surgery department at Firelands Regional Medical Center provides individualized procedural care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients who are in need of skilled surgical intervention. The goal of the surgery department is to provide the most efficient collaborating team possible to achieve optimum results for patients as they prepare for their procedure including anesthesia, surgical intervention and recovery. The plan of care is designed to assist the patient’s progress toward optimum levels of activity for his or her age, physical and psychological limits and surgical intervention process.

Our 11 surgical suites at the main campus are state-of-the-art and equipped with the latest technology available. The surgery department at main campus performs over 5,500 surgeries a year in the following specialties:

Presurgery testing, a service that allows patients to complete their preliminary lab work, x-rays and other diagnostic testing on an outpatient basis, is available for patients. Presurgical testing eliminates the need for you to be admitted to the hospital for test, prior to your surgery or procedure.
