(Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Regional Health System is pleased to announce a new walk-in urgent care focusing on orthopedic injuries. Firelands Physician Group Ortho Express will be located at 1401 Bone Creek Drive and is slated to open in June 2021. Firelands Ortho Express aims to provide cost-effective, immediate care for injuries such as sprains and fractures with state-of-the-art technology, including on-site x-ray.

Firelands Ortho Express is best for non-emergent injuries that need to be diagnosed and treated quickly, rather than waiting for an appointment with your primary care physician or experiencing a costly emergency room visit. Firelands Ortho Express recommends visiting if you or a loved one needs immediate care now for one of the following reasons: fractures, broken bones, strains, sprains, falls, arm or leg injuries, twisted ankles, and hand injuries.

In excitement for this orthopedic walk-in clinic, Dr. Thomas Olexa of the Firelands Physician Group said, "Ortho Express will be bringing a new type of orthopedic care to the region, and I am thrilled to be a part of it. Firelands Regional Health System strives to provide top-of-the-line healthcare, and this new clinic is one step in the greater plan to do so." Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am until 11:30 am.

While Firelands Physician Group Ortho Express will treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries, not every injury can be treated here.
