Firelands Regional Medical Center Medical Staff consists of over 200 doctors representing 40 specialties and subspecialties. Firelands provides a Medical Education Program which has evolved throughout the years to become one of the most outstanding and respected training programs in Ohio. The hospital prides itself on the quality of training provided on various levels for both allopathic and osteopathic physicians.

Firelands Physician Group, a part of Firelands Regional Health System, that also includes Firelands Regional Medical Center and Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services, was established in 1989 as a multi-specialty group providing primary care and specialty care services to the surrounding region. The members of Firelands Physician Group have over 100 years of combined medical experience and facilities throughout northern Ohio. The hospital has instituted a Hospitalist Program (adult and pediatric) that is available to provide 24-hour/seven day a week coverage for members of the Medical Staff.

Partnerships

Firelands Regional Medical Center has established affiliations and partnerships with several schools, ranging from high schools to colleges and universities, to foster careers in nursing and other healthcare related fields. The hospital provides a nurse residency and nurse intern program, and operates the Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing.

Additional partnerships have been established with:

• University Hospitals Siedman Cancer Center helping to bring advanced cancer care to the Firelands Cancer Center
• Outpatient Pediatric Specialty Clinics offered through affiliations with University Hospitals Rainbow Babies, Toledo ProMedica and Cleveland Clinic
